I have a Large, 40yr old, Avocado tree. Recently we had bad weather, hurricane like winds, and two large branches broke. I have decided to trim the tree down, yes bad timing Im loosing a lot of avocados, but better safe than sorry. Anyways, the tree has 4 main branches coming out from a short main trunk, almost grown level, I wanted to tie the branches together as a way to give support to one another, is there a technique to tying branches to prevent damage to the tree? a picture of the branches Imgur another picture Imgur
