Recommendation for a self propelled walk behind electric start mulching mower? Front drive vs rear?

My yard is half acre but with a pool and several trees so actual grassy area is a lot less. Mostly flat only one small hill.

I have a lot of obstacles so I am leaning toward a front wheel drive since I think it would be easier to turn but I've never owned one so not sure of the cons. Also since I intend to mulch I won't have a heavy bag of clippings lifting the front wheels like a see-saw. What do you think? Can anyone recommend one?

Budget is $300-500.
