Does anyone know of/has anyone seen a garden path dug 3' into a yard to give the impression of a raised grade? I'm thinking of doing this, digging a trench 3x3 and squaring it off with pavers and a retaining wall, but I'm not sure how it'll look. The goal is a little more seclusion/maybe to allow for a sunken patio and nicer window well while keeping the rest of the yard for flowers and vegetables while giving it some depth. Any thoughts?
