It’s finally summer! The sun is shining and the temperatures are warming up. Now is the perfect time to lighten up your bedroom with new bedding and accessories.
I’ve always loved white bedding in my bedroom. It just feels so clean, cozy and crisp! I also really love soft pinks and blushes. For the past few months, my bed had been dressed in darker bedding, but now that the seasons are changing I’m starting to crave white bedding again. Here, you’ll see how I brought in some new bedding and a couple of accent colors to create a new look in my room.
My roses are blooming like crazy in the backyard, and they are the perfect addition to my current pinky-blush obsession going on in the bedroom. I also think they add a bit of sweet romance. Copper is a popular metallic being used in home décor right now, and this copper jewelry box adds a nice shine to the dresser.

Rather than having a nightstand at my bedside, I’ve added a feminine desk area. I’ve kept my accessories and chair very airy and light. This hyacinth-and-cherry-blossom candle, a new frame and a little pitcher filled with roses sweeten the look of the desktop.

I added this lovely new white comforter set and accessorized with a mix of pink and blush pillows and a throw. To add some art, I also bought a blank canvas and painted a simple picture for a whimsical, lighthearted feel. Don’t be afraid to explore your creative side and create your own art!

This fun little bench is the perfect spot to sit and kick off my shoes. It was a free discovery from a few years ago that I painted gold and reupholstered in a velvety pale pink — a fun and inexpensive way to add a personalized piece to the room!

I hope you’ve been inspired to give your bedroom a light, bright and romantic makeover. What are your favorite colors to use in your bedroom décor?
