Pics here: http://ift.tt/1XcEsPH My mom and I are trying to remove the stump in her backyard that is inches away from the garage. She's already ground it down considerably using a sawzall. She's afraid of using the burning method since it's so close to the garage and she doesn't want to melt the siding. As you might see, it's in concrete so she can't dig a trench around it to help remove some of the roots. She says that the professional she talked to wouldn't remove it because he's afraid of damaging the garage. The tree that had been there had been considerably large (and the previous owner of her house had accommodated the tree's girth by having part of the garage's gutter removed) and so I'm afraid the root ball will be large and beneath the concrete. Any advice on how to get this stump out? It's been dead a long while. Your help is appreciated.
