Trying to create a low maintenance landscape area in the front of our house. As you can tell by the photo we already have some plants down...that was before all the weeds started taking over.
I have since dug 3-5" of crappy soil out. I plan on adding some topsoil and grading it to slope slightly to the road. I then planned on putting weed barrier down, replanting the dead plants and then topping out with rock.
I know that weed barrier is frowned upon here, but what would be a better alternative? Also, does my plan of attack seem solid?
