Advice Needed - How can we spruce up this area?

Picture below.. To the left of the black line has been rock.. The right of the black line is rock we recently put down.. It was grass but it was useless because it was literally just a walkway behind our deck..

Well now that the rock is there it just doesn't look right.. We are moving the sandbox that is there too..

What can we do to make this look better?
