My front yard used to be filled with hosta that were so large a cat could walk from one side to the other without being seen. A few years ago I started getting patches where they wouldn't grow or just grow a bit.
Last year I took the patches of sad pathetic hosta out and replaced them with healthy ones from the back yard. Now the healthy ones are only like 3" tall and the tiny ones I put in the back are full sized and blooming.
Is there something that I can put bags of to fix the soil or something?? I realize that it's already July and they're as big as they're going to get so this would probably not help till next year but this is a multi year problem
