I'm not sure if this is the correct subreddit to ask this in or not, but hopefully it is.
In December I purchased a house with ~1.8 Acres of property, most of that lawn. I'm currently paying a landscaper to come out and mow my lawn every week, but I'd like to purchase my own mower and mow it myself. The lawn is large enough that I see a lot of recommendation online to go with a Zero-Turn mower and for most of the lawn that should be perfectly fine as it only has a very light slope. However I have a side lawn where the slope is fairly steep and I'm not entirely sure what kind of mower I should use here. My current landscaper has used his Zero-Turn on it, but he's also used his large walk behind on it as well. My previous landscaper said he would only use a walk behind on it because it's too steep for a zero turn. I know that the previous owner owned a traditional John Deere tractor that I assume he mowed the lawn with.
I walked around the property yesterday taking photos which I've uploaded at http://ift.tt/29o2ioU.
Ideally I'd like to not spend tens of thousands of dollars on a mower for this lawn and it appears that the walk behind mowers are more expensive as a whole than the entry level zero turns are.
What kind of mower should I be using for this property?
