- Location: Southern California, Backyard (65%-80% sunlight)
- Soil Condition: Dry-ish and doesn't retain water very well(Hopefully the pictures help to better define)
- Experience Lvl: Beginner

Budget: I am renting this home and simply need it to look maintained without breaking the bank. I'd prefer only using hand tools due to the size of the yard.
I have a female dog that has been using the entire yard for her business for the past couple months and I believe her urine has been a major contributor to destruction of the yard. She will no longer be urinating on the yard.
Priorities/Questions
- Fill in dirt patches with grass similar grass type. (I have no idea what is present at the moment)
- Efficient removal of what looks to be a lot of crabgrass.
- Is there anything I need to do to reverse months of dog urine in soil before trying to repair?
Any tool/product suggestions would be appreciated. I really appreciate any information and help. Thanks.
