I had a concrete and stone retaining wall installed last year, and I'm planning to replace the fence behind it. I'd like to recapture as much of the four foot gap between the fence and the retaining wall as possible.
Would it be safe to plant the steel posts directly behind the top of the wall? Or, is there a minimum distance that I need to plant them?
