I have a large front lot and an irrigation system from the previous owner that I haven't mapped.
I'm in zone 9 on a lot that gets blasted by sun all day and I want to start xeriscaping parts of it, but as I'm a one man crew, I'll need to do it in small pieces.
Are there any issues with putting a few drip heads on some of the existing sprinkler heads and leaving the rest as sprinklers? Not sure if things like pressure, etc. are a problem there. Obviously X amount of time on a sprinkler might need to be adjusted to Y amount of time on a drip head, so I'm not sure if I can have both on the same zone.
Also, I have lots of old jasmine that has some drip lines buried under them. I'm not sure how to test what zone these lines are on because I can't access the actual emitters without digging up a bunch of crap in the jasmine. Is that my only option?
